I work with what is left of the image: cut-outs, anonymous archives, earth gathered along the way. Collage is the method and also a way of thinking territory.
ÍMPAR is the name of a practice moving across collage, photography, pigment and object. It starts from a simple, insistent question: how does an image hold a place once the place has changed?
The Amazon appears here as a conceptual structure — river, humidity, family archive, riverside architecture, the economy of images — and never as decorative landscape. The contemporary graphic gesture lives alongside raw matter.
A background in architecture and research in cultural heritage inform how territory and scale are read, but the work resolves itself in the studio: cut, overlay, leave the edge visible.
